Some time ago...
Valdi was born in Cartagena (Murcia, Spain) on the 2 of June, 1979. At 18 years of age, he reached a second position in Murcia’s DJ contest, organized by Los 40 Principales radio station and Licor 43. A year later he joined the crew on Los 40 Principales’s ANDA YA radio show working as a sound technician.
Having finished his specialization studies, he was back on the radio on Pablo Motos’s NO SOMOS NADIE (M80 radio) and four years later the radio format gave way to the TV show El Hormiguero (Cuatro and Antena 3 at present).
In 2010 he joined the TONTERÍAS LAS JUSTAS team (Cuatro), a mid-afternoon show hosted by Florentino Fernández, where he stood out as a sound producer. Many of the hits featured in his musical selection were later included in the show’s music compilations.
A year later the show became OTRA MOVIDA (Neox), the most important TV premiere on TDT to date. This show also earned him wide media exposure.
In 2013 the team hit back with ASÍ NOS VA (La Sexta), thereby filling the mid-afternoon TV time slot once again.
Other than being in charge of sound production in various TV formats, DJ Valdi usually participates as a guest artist and performer in many live events and he is also involved in music production. Many of his hits have been included in the most well-known compilations by major record companies.
